The pinnacle of CRPG story-telling and one of the best games of all time would have to be Planescape Torment. 1999 was a long time ago though and unfortunately the Infinity Engine hasn’t aged too gracefully this past decade. While the hand-drawn environments still are gorgeous, the low-end resolutions make the game a bit of an eye-sore. Luckily for us and The Nameless One, the community has done the task of bringing Widescreen resolutions to the cult classic.
First you must download Bigg’s Widescreen Mod and run the executable. It will ask for the location of your Planescape Torment folder which is usually along the lines of C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Torment. After it’s done installing YOU MUST DOWNLOAD AND RUN Ghostdogs’ Incredible UI Mod. Extract the archive into your Planescape folder and then run the Setup-Ghostdog’s-PST-UI.exe from within the game directory. Select your font size and voila! You now have one of the best CRPGs of all time in widescreen.
